The Tungsten Beadhead Squiggly San Juan Worm, also sometimes called Tungsten BH Squirmy Wormie or wiggly worm, is a simple but effective class of san juan worm fly. It is considered a weighted san juan worm. This means it sinks faster that the non tungsten version of the same worm.

A San Juan worm is designed to imitate an aquatic worm and is known for it’s simplicity and versatility.

Anglers can fish them all year-round and in almost any body of water. The tungsten beadhead on this worm helps it sink quickly to the bottom.

You can fish a Tungsten BH San Juan worm just like any other nymph. The key is to just get it deep enough to float along the bottom of the river. This is where aquatic worms tend to live.

They are particularly good for fishing in murky water as the bright colors tend to attract the fish. If you are fishing around Spring time, don’t be afraid to fish with the bigger worms.
