Description
Tungsten Beadhead Prince Nymph
The Tungsten Beadhead Prince Nymph fly pattern is a popular and effective nymph pattern used in fly fishing.
It is a variation of the classic Prince Nymph pattern, but with the addition of a tungsten beadhead to help it sink quickly and get down to where the fish are feeding.
The fly is typically tied on a curved or straight shank hook, with a body made of peacock herl and brown or olive dubbing.
It also features a white or cream-colored biot tail and a wingcase made of peacock herl. This gives the fly its distinctive appearance.
The tungsten beadhead is added to the front of the fly to help it sink quickly.
The Tungsten BH Prince Nymph is a versatile fly that can be used in a variety of fishing situations. But it is particularly effective in fast-moving water or when fish are feeding near the bottom.
The fly can be fished using a variety of techniques, including dead-drifting, bouncing along the bottom, or swinging in the current.
Overall, the Tungsten BH Prince Nymph is a great fly to have in your fly box. And especially so, if you fish in areas with fast-moving water. Or if you want to target fish that are feeding near the bottom.
Usually available in the following hook sizes: 12 | 14 | 16 | 18 | 20
