Description
Tungsten BH Flashback Pheasant Tail
The Tungsten Beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tail is a popular fly pattern used by fly fishermen for trout and other freshwater fish.
The fly consists of a body made of pheasant tail fibers, a thorax made of peacock herl, and a wing case made of a thin strip of mylar or similar material.
The fly gets its name from the tungsten beadhead that is used to weight the fly and help it sink to the desired depth in the water.
The Tungsten Beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tail is a versatile fly that can imitate a variety of aquatic insects, including mayflies and stoneflies.
It is particularly effective in fast-moving water where fish may be holding close to the bottom, as the tungsten beadhead helps the fly quickly get down to where the fish are.
Overall, the Tungsten Beadhead Flashback Pheasant Tail is a reliable and effective fly pattern that should be a staple in any angler’s fly box.
