Description
Tungsten Beadhead Copper John / Tungsten BH Copper J
The Tungsten Beadhead Copper John is a popular fly pattern used in fly fishing. It is a versatile nymph pattern that imitates a variety of aquatic insects, such as mayflies, stoneflies, and caddisflies. The fly is named after its creator, John Barr, and the copper wire used to form the body of the fly.
The Tungsten Beadhead Copper John is an effective fly when fished deep in rivers and streams, particularly in faster moving water. The tungsten bead provides weight and helps the fly sink quickly, while the copper wire and peacock herl create flash and attract fish. The fly can be tied in a variety of colors and sizes to match the natural insects present in the water.
