Description
RS2 Fly
The RS2 fly pattern is a popular pattern that imitates the emerging form of various aquatic insects, such as mayflies and caddisflies. The RS2 fly was developed by Colorado fly tyer Rim Chung in the 1980s and has since become a widely used fly pattern.
It is typically tied with a sparse body of fine synthetic fibers, with a wing case, a tail made from pheasant tail fibers, and a thorax made from dubbing or other materials. The RS-2 fly can be effective in a variety of fishing situations, including tailwaters, freestone rivers, and still waters.
