Royal Coachman Wet Fly
The Royal Coachman Wet is one of the iconic American fancy wet flies of the Royal Coachman class. It is tied with a tippet tail and red tag in the middle and the peacock herl gives the fly it’s distinctive look. It has a down wing made from a matched set of while quills.
The Royal Coachman and its derivatives are considered attractor patterns as they do not resemble any specific insect or baitfish
It’s primary use is fishing for trout and grayling. Other uses include Steelhead and Atlantic Salmon.
Usually available in sizes 8, 10, 12, 14, 16.
