Description
Prince Nymph Fly
The Prince Nymph Fly pattern is a nymph attractor wet fly which has become very popular in fly fishing.
It was derived from an earlier original pattern known as the Brown Forked-tail Nymph which was later named after Doug Prince, who changed the original body from black Ostrich herl to Peacock herl and rearranged the wings to curve downwards.
The Peacock Herl became a better choice as the material provides a very attractive body and has proven to be an excellent body material. The fly is really a very productive and popular one.
It has different variations and comes with or without a bead head. Other variations include the Bead Headed Nymph (BH Nymph), Tungsten Jig Nymph and Rubber Legged Nymph.
Usually available in sizes 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24.
