Description
Letort-Cricket
The Letort Cricket fly pattern is made out of deer hair to make a very natural looking cricket imitation which has proved to be very effective. The deer hair also gives the fly excellent floatation.
It was first was originally developed by Ed Shenk for fishing spring creeks of the Letort in Pennsylvania in 1959 to entice finicky trout. It was named after the spring creek that he spent most of his life fishing. It has become effective wherever crickets can be found and is a good summer time pattern.
