Clouser Minnow / Clouser Deep Minnow
The Clouser Minnow pattern also known as Clouser Deep Minnow is one of the most sought after pattern in history. It rivals the Woolly Bugger as one of the most versatile pattern of all-time. It is commonly categorized as a streamer or saltwater fly.
It is great for every game fish one can imagine ranging from largemouths, smallmouths, salmon, steeliers and most certainly the trout. It represents a baitfish and the eyes force the nose down making it ‘swim’ like a small fish. It imitates all purpose attractors, minnows and sculpins.
Great for catching Atlantic Salmon, Brook Trout, Bonefish, Grayling, Bass, Rainbow Trout, Surf, Snapper, Redfish, Steelhead and more.
The original Clouser – Deep Minnow was created in 1987 by Bob Clouser, a Pennsylvania fly Shop owner and guide. It evolved from traditional bucktail streamers.
The flies are typically tied on hooks size 3/0 to 8 and on short to long hooks, with lead or tungsten dumbbell eyes.
Our minnows are tied on salt water hooks and available in the following colors:
Black | Blue/White | Brown/Olive | Brown/Orange (Sculpin) | Brown/Tan | Chartreuse/White | Chartreuse/Yellow | Foxee Dace | Foxee Red | Golden Shiner | Green/White | Olive/White | Orange/Tan | Orange/Yellow | Pink/White | Pink/Purple | Purple/White | Red/White | Red/Yellow | Rusty Crayfish | Silver Shiner | Tan/White | White
